Module 3- Google Docs
I tried to use Google Docs back in January and got really lost. I think it was because I didn't really understand what it was. After watching the videos I feel like I have a much better understanding of what it is now.
Check out the templates!!!! Oh my goodness. I am in template heaven. They have templates for everything. At first I started clicking through the pages. 1 of 60 thousand pages, but, then I realised there were sub categories down the left hand side that helps you narrow down your search. This was very helpful! They even have a students and teachers sub category with lots of educational templates.
How could I use Google Docs in the classroom?
- Post homework that students could save, edit and email back to me.
- Use the spreadsheets to keep track of student assessment.
- Students writing.....Encourage the students to think of writing as a process that involves editing many times before it is ready for publishing.
- Group projects. Students can collaborate and complete projects at home from different houses.
- Duty rosters. Sharing duty rosters through google docs with staff for proof reading and editing.
- Update, edit and share programs with stage partners.
